WALK: Cutters Camp Mebbin NP 10km Grade 3
Click here for the meeting spot at the day-parking in Cutters Camp at 8:45am for a 9:00am departure. An annual pass or daily vehicle entry fee is required.
Mebbin’s Cutters Camp campground is refurbished with newly signed walking tracks throughout Mebbin National Park. We will explore the fire trails of Mebbin National Park by walking up Cutters Camp Road, merging onto Plantation Rd, then onto Cadell Rd (vehicle road) to return to Cutters Camp for lunch. After lunch, we will walk down Byrill Creek track through rainforest to explore the creek and cool our feet. Our walk will include short hills and two water crossings, so bring poles to rock hop or be prepared to wade. We will re-route if the water is too high.
Bring lunch (to have back at Cutters Camp) and morning tea, as well as the usual walking requirements.
If you are travelling from afar, consider camping the night before. Click on this link to book a campsite.
